Hi Stefan,

There has been none so far as I can tell.

When I wait for a while, the switch console times out with this message:

  switch01#management
  This is a Dell PowerConnect 6248 in 'HitAuto-Interop', IP: 100.84.37.233 -
  Please be careful!

Answers to these questions may help to get the management ssh interface online, but I still do not understand why I cannot ping anything on VLAN 179 from a host configured as an multi-port LAG with the associated port-channel in either trunk or general mode.

I've linked below the network interface config from the linux machines, ogion, baby, mini, tiny and smol. I have also linked the current configurations for the 5548 (production) and the 6248 (NG) switches.

The Linux hosts ogion, tiny and smol, attached to the 5548, are able to communicate with one another and the 5548 over their multi-port LAGs.

The Linux hosts baby and mini, attached to the 6248, are unable to communicate with one another or the 6248 over their multi-port LAGs. These systems also have USB NICs attached to an ACCESS mode port on the 6248. On this interface, they can communicate with one another, but cannot reach the 6248.

The Linux host ogion is also attached to one of the ACCESS mode ports on the 6248 in addition to having a multi-port LAG attached to the 5548. This host can reach all hosts attached to the 5548 as either trunked LAG or ACCESS. It can also reach the hosts attached to ACCESS VLAN 78 ports on the 6248.

Powerconnect 5548 (192.168.79.209)

Powerconnect 6248 (192.168.79.210)

My primary question is this: What do I need to change in my 6248 switch config to make it operate the same as the 5548 already is?
